What must we do now in order to create value in the City in 2050?
Commissioned in 2011 to commence ULI’s 75th anniversary, What’s Next? Getting Ahead of Change explores how local cities around the world struggle to adapt to and cope with changing markets, real estate and the values underpinning the world’s great urban centers. This second decade of the 21st Century presents a pivot point for the cumulative endeavors of community building. More than ever in the long history of urbanization, economic, demographic, and environmental factors are coming together to elevate the importance of land use in meeting residents’ and businesses’ expectations for livability, amenities, mobility, and ongoing sustainability.
